This abnormal porosity allows more passage of toxic material such as undigested proteins and fats, parasites, fungi and bacteria into the bloodstream. A healthy gut with the proper pH would eliminate these toxins through the colon. This leakage into the bloodstream can be verified by special permeability urine tests, microscopic examination of the intestinal wall, and bloodstream examination via darkfield microscopy of living whole blood. If you have some unresolved health problems, this syndrome could be one of the missing pieces of the puzzle. Leaky gut syndrome is always associated with autoimmune diseases, conditions where one system makes antibodies against the body's own tissue. Diseases in this category include Lupus, Alopecia Areata, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Vitiligo, Thyroiditis, Vasculitis, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Hives, and Raynaud's Disease. Allopaths are starting to recognize the importance of the G. I. tract in the development of allergies or autoimmune disease. Herbologists and colon hygienists have recognized this connection for centuries, using colonics, cleaning up the diet and increasing vegetable juices and chlorophyll.
So what causes leaky gut syndrome? Increased refined carbohydrates in the diet! A large protein molecule that has not been fully digested enters the blood stream, and the immune system manufactures antibodies in response to destroy the protein molecule. Human tissues have antigenic sites very similar to those on foods, bacteria, parasites, candida or fungi. The antibodies created against these antigens get into nervous tissue and trigger an inflammatory response when the corresponding food is consumed or microbe is introduced. This always causes the reaction in the weakest area of the body: inflammation in the joint, Rheumatoid Arthritis; in the blood vessels, Vasculitis; in the gut lining itself, Colitis or Crohns disease. As you can see, it potentially affects many different areas.
The liver is always affected in any autoimmune response. In the case of leaky gut syndrome it is
overwhelmed by all the work necessary to detoxify the body. The resulting symptoms are confusion, memory loss, bruising, and facial swelling when exposed to strong smells, i.e. cigarettes, perfume, cleaners, newspapers, etc. Leaky gut syndrome also creates a long list of mineral deficiencies because of malabsorption. One of the most common is a magnesium deficiency which could result in Fibromyalgia in spite of a high magnesium intake through diet and supplements. Fibromyalgia. symptoms include muscle pains and spasms. Zinc deficiency due to malabsorption can result in hair loss or baldness as occurs in Alopecia Areata, or in male reproduction or prostate problems. Copper deficiency can occur, leading to higher production of blood cholesterol and also osteoarthritis. This is one of the strongest arguments for consuming properly formed amino acid chelated minerals as in our Dynamite® products. The carrier protein is already attached to the mineral for more effective transport.
As noted, the main cause of leaky gut syndrome is a diet high in refined carbohydrates (sugar, flour products, etc.). Some other contributing stressors are use of corticosteroids, Ibuprofen, birth control pills and hormone replacement therapy, caffeine, antibiotics, food dyes and preservatives. When these are consumed, the initial symptoms of leaky gut syndrome begin to show up. These are edema, bloating, gas and cramps. Then come fatigue, headache, memory loss, poor concentration and irritability. Food allergies quickly develop, then the list of chronic degenerative diseases sets in.
Stop all flour products. Start consuming carrot juice with something green - spinach, parsley, green peppers, etc. The more chlorophyll the better. Start taking the Dynamite Miracle Clay, 1 tsp. per directions every other day. Take Dynamite for Adults and Children rather than the Plus, for the higher mineral levels, along with extra Manganese Plus and PMS for women, and Zinc Plus for men. Get your diet to 80% fruits and vegetables and only 20% acid forming foods. Elixir should also be consumed as a digestive aid and alkalizer.
